There’s a reason why Jimmy is often described as the hardest working man in comedy – because he performs an insane number of gigs a year (and has been doing since he first started out, back in 1998).
As I spot / verify total gigs numbers, for each year, I’ll add them onto here.
And let’s not forget that, in between all of these gigs and all of that travel, he’s fitting in multiple TV shows, speaking engagements, corporates, writing, promotional work, charity events – and somehow finds time for socialising and raising a family. I suspect he sleeps about every third Tuesday.
Note – the numbers below are just from Jimmy’s own tours. When you add in additional stand-up appearances for charity / corporates / dropping in at The Comedy Store and also when friends ask him to do a spot on THEIR shows (as a support act) – this can often add up to another 20-30 stand-up shows a year.
For how many countries he’s managed to sell tickets in – see Tour Locations, here.
2011 / 239+ gigs
On November 21st 2011 Jimmy appeared on Absolute Radio and mentioned that he’d just completed his 239th gig. But that was with 6 weeks of the year still to go (Laughter Therapy Tour).
2018 / 168 gigs
On Dec 20th 2018 he was chatting to Jimmy Fallon and JF read out tour stats (a slow year, this year):

At this point he now tours 50+ countries (see here) and 2024 was his first ever visit to India.

2025 / 285 gigs
In 2025 he frequently doubled up (with 2 gigs a night) to allow him to cut back his working week to 5 nights, now that he’s a father with young children. These double nights also started to be interspersed with Arena shows.
- 285 shows
- 19 countries

The tail end of the Charm Offensive tour (mentioned in 2024, above) was in January. And then the rest of the Laughs Funny tour was in Ireland, Cyprus, UAE, England, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Scotland, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, USA, Norway, Saudi Arabia and Wales.
This year the number of different countries visited dipped a little as he was back and forth to the USA (for 75+, shows plus podcasts etc.).
For an idea of how much he crammed in – see his 2025 End of Year Report Card.
