March 14th 2012 and renowned coffee addict, Jimmy Carr, was involved in a Starbucks promotional campaign for a new stronger British Latte.
He learned how to become a barista and spent time, in a London Starbucks, serving coffee to customers. As you can see in the 44 images on Getty Images, Jimmy’s tweet and the video below.
Anyone who works in a Starbucks, around the world, will know that he loves an Americano.
The original campaign was a great idea and it blossomed again in 2018, thanks to CNN.
After an incident in the US Starbucks decided to close it’s 8,000 stores to conduct a racial bias training programme. When CNN ran a piece on the training, they unwittingly used a picture of Jimmy “working” there (from the 2012 photoshoot), much to the amusement of the Brits that noticed it.
