Music Playlist

Jimmy’s Favourite Tracks and Artists

Jimmy is a huge music lover and a massive fan of The Killers (Brandon Flowers is a friend), Snow Patrol (Johnny McDaid is a friend), Robbie Williams (another friend), Ed Sheeran (and another friend – there’s a theme building here).

For more background – this blog has a filter for music that will show you stories about him writing songs with Robbie, singing backing vocals on one of Ed’s tracks etc. and will eventually cover more music stories.

Take it as read that various other tracks, from all of the artists above, would be in Jimmy’s favourites playlist…and below are some others that I’ve noted along the way (this list will grow as I add more podcasts etc.).

Meanwhile, if you’ve ever been to one of his gigs and wondered what the intro song was…it might be on here.

Gig Intro tracks / on Jimmy’s DVDs

One track that causes a LOT of confusion (on the Laughs Funny tour and possibly even some of Terribly Funny 2.0, if my memory serves me right) is Drapht’s Jimmy Recard. On one of the many Heckle Amnesty videos there is someone asking about the song that Jimmy had “had written for his show” – a common misconception as people think the chorus lyric is actually Jimmy Carr. Read more here.
