Mentioning this track has been on my list for a while – and I’ve just been prompted by Drapht posting on Instagram.

Drapht is the stage name of an Australian hip hop artist that has been releasing music since 2003 – but must have got a fair bit of a promotional bump from Jimmy Carr using his track.

For anyone that doesn’t know – Jimmy plays a track before he comes out on stage. Gets the audience primed and ready for his entrance.

It’s been Jimmy Recard for most of this tour and its funny how many people DO actually think that he had it written for himself. Although, to be fair, some theatre sound systems (particularly in the UK) are not great for playing music through and it can sound pretty distorted. Especially as the sound levels would have been pre-set for just one man’s voice.
