The Who’s Roger Daltrey has, over the years, organised several charity galas for the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT). Usually at the Royal Albert Hall.

2004’s gala is almost lost in the mists of time as several of the pages I had viewed, some years ago, have now vanished.

Nevertheless, it appears Jimmy performed on one of the nights of the 2004 gala (March 31^st). According to the Royal Albert Hall’s catalogue archive the bill included:

• Steve Coogan (as Alan Partridge)
• Matt Lucs and David Walliams (as Little Britain)
• Rich Hall
• Ricky Gervais
• Jimmy Carr
• Rob Brydon

According to The Telegraph the bill was a who’s who of British comedic talent and:

Yet none of them managed to bring the house down quite like Jimmy Carr, the prefectorial posh boy on an apparent mission to offend everyone.

A now vanished article also mentioned that Noel Fielding had performed.
