Jimmy has appeared on Chris Moyles’ radio shows on multiple occasions (see here) but there are 2 shows, from 20 years ago, that I cannot nail down the details of.
1 – Funny Feeling with Jon Culshaw
Jimmy’s DVD Comedian (here) was released November 5th 2007 and there is a bonus item for The Radio 1 Christmas Party. Undated.
In a 3-minute segment, two members of a band called The Feeling (drummer and bass player) are playing some kind of jazz background music, while Jimmy reads out some of his old jokes. It’s introduced as Jimmy Carr and His Funny Feeling.

There is an audience of perhaps 50 people, Chris Moyles is wearing a brassy curly wig and Jon Culshaw is shown a couple of times.

Jimmy had appeared on this show three times before the DVD release date
- November 15th 2005
- December 14th 2006
- November 26th 2007
The problem is that, from the photographs, NONE of these appearances seem to relate to this “Christmas Party” as Jimmy is wearing different clothes. Also, none of those dates match up with a listed Culshaw appearance and I can’t find the show on the Chris Moyles Archive.
It happened – I just don’t know when (other than it must have been before November 2007).
2- Radio 1 Christmas Party 2007
A second Christmas party that I cannot confirm details for was on December 21st 2007.
Broadcast at 1pm on BBC Radio 1 (R1) at 6pm it was billed as a six-hour festive marathon but the listed show only appears to be 1 hour long.
A Radio Times listing (on the BBC Genome) identified Jimmy and Davina McCall as being there – but the shots from Getty Images (here) don’t bear this out.
Although it’s possible that he MAY have been there (depending on what time it started) he had to be in Coventry in the evening for a gig (Repeat Offender tour).
I give up on this one.
