During 2020 8 episodes were made of a 45-minute BBC1 show called Save Our Summer, hosted by Peter Crouch, Maya Jama and Alex Horne.
It’s hard to describe the format as it was a bit of a hastily assembled show that featured people from the world of sports, comedy and music (and was a mix of chat, music and sporting challenges). To “put a smile on our faces during lockdown”.
Jimmy appeared on episode 4 (June 27th 2020). Filmed on the 23rd it was notable for being the first time that he’d revealed that he’d had a hair transplant. He’d been papped a couple of times, wearing a flat cap, and no one knew why he’d started wearing one…until he appeared on this show and whipped his hat off.
