July 2002 saw Jimmy at Montreal’s JFL (Just for Laughs) festival, in Canada. Al Murray was making his debut and Omid Djalili had a great festival. Ed Byrne was a part of the “Irish contingent”, with Dara O’Briain who went down so well that he was asked to be on a televised gala with Joan Rivers.

Variety reckoned that Omid and Jimmy “garnered much attention” but it was arguably Jimmy that came out on top as he was invited to do Late Night With Conan O’Brien that year. Twice.

He was at 30 Rock, New York, NYC on October 9^th and again on December 27^th.
