Modern Wisdom 2023

Another deep and thoughtful podcast appearance was the Oct 2023 episode of Chris Williamson’s Modern Wisdom. The video intros as a “Modern Wisdom Cinema Production” – but I’ve noticed that the channel is just Chris’s name now.

Lasting almost 3 hours it was released on the 9th Oct and was possibly recorded on the 8th. Williamson moved to Austin, Texas and Jimmy had 2 gigs on the evening of the 8th, at the Paramount Theatre (having performed in Houston the night before and moving on to Dallas on the 9th).

I won’t expand on the content, other than to list the chapter headings, below. Books mentioned:

  • Mimetic Desires – René Girard
  • The Status Game – Will Storr
