October 14^th 2006 was the date for Amnesty International’s Secret Policeman’s Ball, held in London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Jimmy was one of a huge line up of comedians (67 performers in all) – that included:

• Stephen Merchant
• Noel Fielding (in The Mighty Boosh)
• Jimmy Fallon

This event launched Protect the Human week, was seen by a C4 audience of over 3.5m and was released as a DVD.

Jimmy said:

I support Amnesty International because who knows when I’ll be chained to a radiator and beaten with a rubber truncheon. I think it’s Thursday, 4.30, Soho but I’ll have to check my diary.
