The Rest is Entertainment is a small-ish podcast with Marina Hyde and Richard Osman talking about all things “entertainment industry”. It’s a good listen as they have both been in the industry many years (Marina is a journalist but seems to know a LOT of people) and get into great detail about how shows work and all kinds of industry news and gossip.

In the April 1^st 2025 episode they ask, in one chapter, Has Amazon saved British comedy? (talking about Last One Laughing UK).

At the time of their recording Richard said that the Amazon Top 10 was 4 episodes of Adolesence and 6 of Last One Laughing.

They both find it funny that this was all recorded within 6 hours (and yet is such a massive hit).

There are some great little snippets of info in here – including Richard telling us that there were 52 cameras in there and, in the gallery, there were 10 spotters for each contestant – to make sure that they didn’t laugh.

And for the people that I’ve seen (on social platforms) asking why people took suitcases in…they contained the props that they used for their joker segments.
