July 9th 2020 a book was released called Dear NHS. Curated and edited by Adam Kay – he had asked all kinds of people to contribute a story, about their experience of NHS care and it’s fair to say that some took it more seriously than others (as detailed in this Guardian article).

Many were surprised by the contribution from Jimmy (relating to his mother’s death). Especially this part:

Bearing witness to a death is an incredibly intimate thing. You should be there, not because it’s easy – it isn’t – but because one day you’ll want someone to hold your hand.
