Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend will be available on BBC iPlayer, on 16th May 2025. This will be Series 1, Episode 2 and I won’t give too many spoilers away (you can read a lot more detail on this BBC page).

The BBC describe their weekend together as Alison first catches up with Jimmy for coffee in Manchester and then drags him onto Lake Windermere and up Queen Adelaide Hill – all in a suit (as witnessed by the surprised dog walkers that bumped into them).

Jimmy had a gig that night in Kendal (19th Oct 2024) and Alison went for a tour backstage. The venue is a sports hall that holds around 700 and this shows how he’s happy to travel to where his audience is, for the love of comedy. One night it’s an intimate gig with folding chairs…the next an arena.

Meeting up in a spa the following day they go for a sauna and ice bath, to talk about cosmetic enhancements (as you do).

Seeing him row a boat in a very expensive suit has got to be worth turning the TV on for!!
