Update 05-08-2025 – there is a more recent post, with refreshed data, here.
I’ve recently published Statistics posts with updated data for YouTube and Instagram. This one is for Facebook and the same provisos pretty much apply.
Take into consideration:
- As the American comics have a much bigger target home audience – their numbers are always far higher than those of the Brits.
- Numbers are also impacted by the people that have Podcasts.
- Some accounts are a combination of Stand up, TV appearances, Podcast episodes and personal clips / images. So don’t assume that this is all straight up “comedy” material.
- The number of years since the account was set up will make a difference.
- Some accounts are heavier on posting JUST images.
- Jimmy’s Heckle Amnesty crowd work videos have had a massive impact (view Playlist here) and he gives away the most material.
- I could see a handful of people’s actual numbers (using Boomsocial) but other who have rounded figures will not show any growth. For example – someone may sit at 1.4m (1,400,000) for a LONG time. And it’s impossible to tell whether their followers are going up or down.
- The first column (Performance Location) means Jim Jefferies (Australian) is listed under US.
There are top 3’s indicated for both countries:
- Blue – Top 3 Americans
- Gold – Top 3 Brits
I last looked at this data on March 23 so this is a comparison from then to 25th May 2025.
Null Points
First of all – I removed a few people, from the list, that I couldn’t find accounts for or have not uploaded any new content and/or gained any new followers in a couple of months – just in case you wonder why they are absent.
Micky Flanagan, for example, has a fan produced account with over 1m followers – but it’s not his official one.
- Dave Attell
- Richard Ayoade
- Dave Chappelle
- Jack Dee
- Micky Flanagan
- Jo Brand
- Rob Brydon
- Chris McCausland
- Guz Khan
- Rich Hall
- Phil Wang
- Seann Walsh
US Based Comics / Followers
No clue as to why Chris Rock’s numbers dropped by so much. Now that 2 months have passed it’s not like I can go back and check to see if it was a typo. This is everyone, US based, over 1m followers.
Column J compares 25th May to 23rd March and column K compares 25th May to Jan 14th.
Otherwise, the top 3 are the same as they have been the past few times that I’ve checked.

UK Comics / Followers
Column J compares 25th May to 23rd March and column K compares 25th May to Jan 14th.
The Top 5-6 probably initially focussed mainly on their Facebook accounts, before diversifying into publishing content on multiple platforms.
This is everyone over 900k – which kind of shows the jump between Frankie, up to Kevin B.
Note how Russell seemingly lost -27,995 across the almost 5 months – but clawed back 7,244, when you look at the past 2 months. This is probably because, in Jan, I could only see that he had “around” 3.8m. Ditto with Jack who registered 2.1m in Jan. Give it a few months and this data will make more sense.
Jimmy was 2.7m in Jan but has def gained half a million since then.

Most growth?
This view shows who has gained the most followers since March (column J).

And another view – most growth since January
