In 2020 C4 produced a 4-part series called C4 Goes Back To.

• C4 Goes Back To…the 1980s – Sir Lenny Henry
• C4 Goes Back To…the 1990s – Vic Reeves
• C4 Goes Back to…the noughties – Davina McCall
• C4 Goes Back to…the 2010’s – Jimmy Carr

Each show was 2 hours and Jimmy’s episode was shown on December 30^th. IMDB has the list of people that featured as “talking heads”.

There are no clips around (that I can find) but it’s apparently on AppleTV.

It amused my inner child when Jimmy stood in front of that sign a couple of times…with his head covering the C. And there’s a cat on the left with an 8/10 sign propped against it.

Noughties

In the Noughties episode there had been a vote to find the top 25 C4 shows of the period 2000-2009. The top 3 were:

1. Big Brother
2. The Inbetweeners
3. 8 Out of 10 Cats

That timeframe was before 8 Out of 10 Cats became Cats Countdown (which happened in 2012). The episode contained clips from the 8oo10c but confusingly also contained one for Cats Countdown and had Susie Dent on (can’t remember why – had a few sleeps since 2020). Joe Wilkinson featured but at least he had appeared in both shows.
