   saw the show last may, extremely solid.
   i’d be surprised if anyone ends up taking offense with the material.
   all the jokes had logic/sense, so you knew they were jokes, opposed to observational work.

         gonna skip the next pass through my area in a few months, missed out on really good seats (or at least ones better than i had).
         at best, i’ll see one in ’25 and one in ’26.
         what’d you think of the book and the amazon show? only found out the podcast existed a couple days back, so i haven’t caught up yet.

         I’ve read both Jimmy’s books several times (Naked Jape and Before and Laughter). Love them both.
         Last One Laughing was the best thing on TV in some time. Just hope they are careful about who they chose for S2.

         LOL kinda disappointed me, as far as accessibility. i mean, i enjoyed it, but that’s because i knew who all the major players were.
         i just wished there were something like little montages made up of half-second mostly out-of-context clips to give non-uk audiences a feel for who everyone was.
         (i think that’s how the original show did it, but it’s been about a decade since i saw it)
         my big hope when i heard there was gonna be amazon programs was about the piggybacking of their distribution; the documental/LOL series generally get wide subtitle coverage.
         as far as s2 hopes, i’d want rhod gilbert on, sooner than later, though… he has a bad habit of randomly making himself laugh. maybe he’d be better as a disruptor. speaking of, hope bob will get another chance to shine on the show, as a disruptor. i think the rules were too confining for him.

         I think Rhod may be too much of a giggler, but I loved him on Taskmaster. Lee Mack said he’d like to go on. Soon as I hear anything concrete, I’ll post!
