Jimmy Carr’s first appearance on British panel show Would I Lie To You (WILTY) was back in 2007, S1 Ep3. Back then we had:

Series 1 was clearly not seen as family entertainment as the 30-minute show was shown at 9.55pm.

The Writing Team (additional material) included Angus – but also Frankie Boyle (and other writers, such as Dom English, who has featured on many of our panel shows, in the back room).

I’ve watched it on Amazon Prime and Jimmy’s “lies” were:

• That he starred in a Japanese commercial for snuff
• That Simon Groom and Peter Duncan once had a fight in a Blue Peter garden after a row over a BBC parking space
• that he lost his virginity aged 26 (everyone believed him).
