In May 2024 Netflix broadcast The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, with Jeff Ross (as Roastmaster), Kevin Hart and many others. Personally, I’m not sure anyone outside of the US would agree with it being titled “the greatest” as the ex-football players / coaches were a complete mystery – as were many of the topics joked about.

The quality of the evening was perhaps reflected by people on social platforms asking why Jimmy wasn’t up there – especially as the cameras kept panning to him (he’d been one of the most cut throat roasters on Comedy Central’s The Roast of Rob Lowe).

Jimmy was in Los Angeles for Netflix is a Joke Fest and it probably got everyone’s hopes up when he was spotted on the roast’s red carpet.

Nikki Glaser was the star of the night and, the next day, she was on Howard Stern’s show and she mentioned that she’d met Jimmy the day before (at Ted Sarandos’s brunch) and that he’d given her a great joke. This is an awful copy of the interview (quality wise) – it starts at the relevant part.

As is often the case – Jimmy was the only Brit present and Bert Kreischer the only one topless!.
