During 2006-7 Rob Brydon had a BBC3 sitcom – Annually Retentive (2 series, 12 episodes). It was a satire on the comedy industry (of TV panel shows). Rob was playing himself as the reluctant host of a low-rent panel show, themed around historical events. See overview on Comedy.co.uk.
The format needed a stream of “panel show guests” and Jimmy appeared in two episodes of series 2. Episode 1 was shown April 30th 2007.
