So far as I can tell Jimmy was on a BBC Radio 2 (R2) show called The Comedy Hour, broadcast on Saturday January 10^th 2004 at 1pm.

That site describes the shows as:

“Comedians discuss their favourite peers. In this edition Jimmy Carr discloses an admiration for Les Dawson, Ross Noble, Jack Dee and Bill Bailey”

What it doesn’t make clear is whether someone was interviewing him – or whether he was presenting the show. Or whether clips from each person were broadcast (and this is the only link that I can find on this show, despite using different browsers / search engines).

Google AI is again very misleading – categorically stating there is no such show – while displaying the BBC Genome link to the show directly underneath (when I initially searched for 2004 BBC radio 2 “The Comedy Hour”).

Oddly when I added Jimmy’s name to the search criteria Google dropped the AI Overview panel and tried to be more helpful. But still no cigar.
