There are many shows / programmes that list people’s names and say things such as “uncredited” and I always wonder – what did they do? How long where they featured for?
This latest one is Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive
This was a two-part documentary, made in 2006, that was broadcast by BBC4.
If you want to watch the full 105 minutes it is here.
In Episode 2 Jimmy appears briefly (at 53.09 in this video, starts from here). Stephen is heading into the studio to record the QI Danger episode (here) and exchanges a greeting with Jimmy.
We then see Jimmy sitting alongside Sean Lock in rehearsals (with Jo Brand beside Alan) and Stephen is telling Sean that he is a manic depressive.
Just in case anyone watches this and is confused – it then runs into the recording of a proper QI episode (as in not a rehearsal) and changes to a different one (which I can’t identify). This one is Jo and Alan and the other desk looks like Sean with Bill Bailey. Presumably one that was filmed on the same day.
It would appear Robbie Williams was in the original broadcast but his footage was cut from the DVD / repeats. Presumably for copyright reasons.
Anyway. Another mystery solved.
