Stephen Sutton, TCT 2014

When Stephen Sutton was just 15 (in 2010) he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. In 2013 he made a bucket list of 46 things that he wanted to do before he died. Unfortunately, he lost his life in May 2014, aged only 19.

From his list he had completed 35 and number 36 (of 46) on the list was to meet Jimmy Carr.

His mother has documented Stephen’s story (and her continued fundraising) on the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) page – here.

This article in the Independent was written a month before he died and details the items on his list (here). I’ve never been much of a fan of bucket lists but, in this situation, the list is both inspirational and interesting. Remarkable young man.

His “raise £1m for TCT” item was assisted by people like Jimmy and Jason Manford boosting the posts and, today, his story / fundraiser, has raised over £6million.

If you wish to donate to the TCT you can do so via this link.
