On March 16th 2011 The Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1 (R1) started an attempt of “longest radio show ever” for Comic Relief. Alongside “comedy Dave” they initially wanted to break the 37 hour record (see Press release) but eventually stayed on air for a total of 52 hours and raised over £2.4m (see here).
The show details / image here don’t mention Comic Relief, but the recording does. Jimmy and Vernon Kay were on the 9pm slot.
