Woolly is back in the UK now it’s November and dark, damp and miserable. Jimmy has been performing his Laughs Funny tour in:

  • 20th Stockport, Plaza (2 shows)
  • 21st Skegness, Embassy Theatre
  • 22nd Hull, Connexin Live (2 shows)

In the images the top right one is Skegness and the other 3 are in Stockport.

His Nov / Dec 2025 arena shows may have some seats left – check out JimmyCarr.com/tour/uk-ireland/

Saw the early Hull show tonight.
He was excellent despite having a sore throat. The venue staff were absolutely wonderful. And I had a genuinely good time.

But this particular audience? Every Hull stereotype I’ve ever heard in a joke decided to show up in one room. There were speaker outages mid-show, and despite Jimmy explaining they were being fixed, people kept shouting about it over his jokes. The VIP section was less ‘premium seating’ and more ‘drunk people talking through the entire show.’ Phones out everywhere. And the heckles he weclomed? Just yelling out celebrity names mostly.
Still, Jimmy powered through like a professional, and I laughed until my face hurt. Just wish more of the audience had been as committed to the show as he was.

      I was front row… :o))

But would add that I don’t live in Hull…

I don’t either! I love in Nottingham. 🙂 But my husband is from Hull.
It was a great show! Were you one of the audience helping him to understand what the heck people were yelling?

No, I couldn’t understand them either… I’ve had the tix a couple of years and was RIGHT in the centre, straight in front of him. Couldn’t have been any closer!

Some of the UK venues are appalling for sound. I was at one of his gigs in Harrogate, a while back, in the balcony, and the sound seemed to be getting trapped underneath it. Made it very muffled.

Typo… that should have been Cottingham.
Luckily we didn’t lose sound in the balcony. I think I may try York next time if I am still in the Yorkshire area.
While the interruptions and yelling about the loss of sound in the upper tiers was annoying the other night, I did find one person’s response amusing:

Jimmy: I’m sure someone is working on it. Well, what do you want ME to do about it?
        Person: Wait!

ha ha ha – I didn’t hear that one.

I don’t understand how it keeps failing though – these venues are putting on events every night are they not????
