On this Russell Howard podcast (chatting to Mo Gilligan) Russell explains first of all what it was like to be on Mock The Week (this chapter) and goes on to mention some advice that Sean gave him, relating to being on 8 Out of 10 Cats (around 28 minutes).

This drifts into discussing appearing on panel shows in general and then they talk about The Big Fat Quiz and how it takes 5 hours to record and that Jimmy is the orchestrator of the show.

I know someone that went to a BFQ record last year and he was struck by how professional Jimmy was and how, despite it being chaotic and like herding cats, he had managed to keep the show moving along. It was almost midnight by the time they finished and let the audience out.
