The Brit Awards were held on February 25^th 2015 at London’s O2 Arena. This year hosted by Ant and Dec and broadcast on ITV.

The Brits are always a car crash and this year saw a lot of presenters / award recipients being castigated in the press for being disinterested (Foo Fighters), repeating a joke 3 times (Ant and Dec), having no chemistry on stage (Ellie Goulding & Lewis Hamilton) etc. etc.

Jimmy was presenting the “British Video of the Year”, alongside American super model Karlie Kloss. She was almost a head taller than him (in very high heels) and this was exacerbated by her being very slim and in a white dress. So they looked odd from the off (images here), Karlie didn’t seem to get his jokes and there was “zero chemistry between them”.

The award went to One Direction and Simon Cowell got up to accept it for them and read a speech out (couple of images of him with J & K here).

Madonna was due to perform and Jimmy made a joke about finding lots of drugs in her dressing room but “it was only HRT stuff”. Which is pretty mild for him.

The usual suspects took offence (people on what was then Twitter, the Guardian and even Richard Madeley) at what they deemed a sexist joke.

Things went even further downhill later on when Madonna, performing with dancers in a very long cape, couldn’t release it and, when someone stepped on it, she fell backwards off the stage.
