On February 8th 2012 The Loaded LAFTA Awards were held at the Cuckoo Club, in London’s West End. This year I can’t find anything to suggest that Jimmy attended in person.

The vote is decided via an online poll and details of other years can be seen here.

Funniest Man:

The winner was Jon Richardson

Runners up were Jimmy Carr, Al Murray, Lee Evans and Leigh Francis

Funniest DVD:

The winner was Jimmy Carr with Being Funny.

Runners up were Angelos Epithemiou, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Tim Minchin.

Funniest Comedy Panel Show:

Winner was Celebrity Juice

Runners up where 8 Out of 10 Cats, Ask Rhod Gilbert, Shooting Stars and Would I Lie To You

Funniest Twitterer:

Winner was Dom Joly

Runners up were Jimmy Carr, Matt Lucas and Stephen Merchant

Funniest Joke:

Winner was Tim Vine with “Conjunctivitus.com – that’s a site for sore eyes.”

Runners up were:

  • Jimmy Carr – “I know a couple who get on like a house on fire. They both feel trapped and are slowly suffocating to death.”
  • Sarah Millican – “My mother told me, you don’t have to put anything in your mouth you don’t want to. Then she made me eat broccoli, which felt like double standards.”
  • Paul Daniels – “I said to a fella ‘Is there a B&Q in Henley?’ He said ‘No, there’s an H, an E, an N an L and a Y’.”
