Rowdy audience member

Jimmy issues a blunt warning to rowdy audience member…

Crowdwork clip from the Laughs Funny 2025 tour – looks like it could be the UK, but not sure.

I suspect this happens virtually EVERY gig (it has the ones I’ve been to). I’ve no idea why people spend money on tickets and then TALK throughout the gig.

For the love of…can they not just stop flapping their gums for 2 hours?

Always well handled, though.

I wish they were thrown out when I saw him. These people paid for VIP seats and still talked!
Luckily, I now get to see another comedian for free. The venue are even covering my dinner.

Thinking about it that was probably the only gig when i didn’t have anyone talking behind me. One in that same venue, a few years ago, i was ready to start a punch up with 2 blokes behind me (and, if you saw the size of me, you’d know what a bad idea that would have been).
Is the “another comedian” compensation for the talking?

I can understand that frustration. It’s like people talking in movie theatres. Yep, they gave me a choice of upcoming show, so I chose Romesh Ranganathan who will be here in April. As for seeing Jimmy again, I’ve decided to just see him at a smaller venue when he comes to the Yorkshire area again next time. Are you on Substack?

Romesh should be good. Unfortunately, I can’t see Jimmy being in a smaller venue, now he’s moving up into arenas. Unless you travel a lot further afield. Iceland? LOL
I have a Substack account – is that what you mean? So many platforms to look at…not enough hours in the day.

He has seemed quite keen to reach the parts of UK with people who can’t easily travel to the large venues. I’ll just travel to York or Skidby, if he still plays there. The smaller venue in York is very popular with established comedians, and it’s beautiful.
I can’t travel too extensively for medical / mobility reasons.
And yep, I meant that Substack. I’m ‘Kia Bright’ on there. It’s quite nice, intellectual and laid back for a social media platform. It seems to be getting more popular though, so it may change over time.
And yes, too many platforms! If you do The Cartell on your own, you need a break!! 🙂

Yes, just me. not enough hours in the day for all that i do! NZ tour starts today so I’ll have to use my VPN to monitor stories from there. no rest for the wicked! They’re 13 hours ahead so that’s always fun.
