Fackham VOD, DVD & Blu-ray

It’s so irritating how long it takes, in 2026, for the weekend box office numbers to be published… I can’t imagine how frustrating it is for Jimmy when, as he’s said in interviews, he’s used to INSTANT feedback. Tells joke – gets laugh (or doesn’t).

As it’s now out on VOD I’ve been having a look around at various sites.

Opening Weekend (US)

Legion M have a Sub-Reddit and this post was from the opening weekend. Bear in mind that people invest in Legion M so the update is from that perspective, rather than a generic promotional post.

Couple of things to take from this – the first being that the December 5th US cinema release was hindered by a busy release period:

“…along with Wicked and ZootopiaFive Nights at Freddy’s broke box office records. A lot of theaters chose to double down on big studio movies. As a result, independent films like Fackham Hall are forced to take the showtimes we can get.”

Basically, theatres have around 5 showtimes a day and getting your film into a prime viewing slot is a bun fight. Especially for an independent release.

However, the $625,000 take, in the first weekend, earned Fackham Hall 13th place (from 52 films listed that weekend).

The Reddit post goes on to give perspective on the takings:

“…there were two other independent films that opened this weekend with similar size theater footprints: Merrily We Roll Along (based on a hit Broadway play that won 4 Tony awards) earned about 2X what Fackham Hall did. 100 Nights of Hero earned 40% what we earned.”

It’s certainly true that people are going to cinemas MUCH less, preferring to stream movies. This means that the income side is sometimes described as a “long tail.” The real income comes from PVOD / VOD / SVOD or TVOD. Which are all just different ways of getting people to pay to watch a movie. A film on streaming can generate income forever (or until the platform has a clear out).

As that post went on to say – even though, in early December, a digital release had not been announced:

Fackham Hall is currently the #4 pre-order on Apple TV and #6 pre-order on Amazon Prime. That’s a strong signal that bodes well for the film’s downstream prospects.”

Late December

By the end of the month it had been released to UK Cinemas (on December 12th) and was also appearing on the iTunes charts.

  • All movies – #18
  • Comedy movies – #4

From a Legion M perspective their posts around this topic asked their members to view the film on Amazon as that is where they would get the most income from. Plus Amazon charts get more press and feature in algorithms.

January 6th 2026 Numbers / Where to Stream / DVD etc.

First, over to Just Watch (here) who have it listed as available to buy (at varying prices) from:

  • Amazon Prime Video
  • Apple TV
  • Fandango at Home
  • Plex
  • Cinépolis

If you switch the country dropdown (on the above) you can also see viewing availability at:

  • Canada – Amazon, Apple TV, Plex
  • Poland – Cinema City
  • UK – Cineworld, Vue, Showcase

Interestingly Amazon.com (here) also show DVD and Blu-ray releases (Jan 20th)

  • DVD – $26,98
  • Blu-ray – $34.98

The DVD / Blu-ray discs are not on Amazon UK but they DO have 12 books (here) that are probably AI slop and have some weird AI generated images on the covers. Someone even appears to have bought one of them…

Flixpatrol have a chart for Apple TV in Canada (here) and the Top 10 positions, from Dec 31st to Jan 5th, are: 10 // 9 // 10 // 8 // 7 // 7

iTunes charts today:

  • Movies – here #16
  • Independent movies – here #2
  • Comedy movies – here  #3

Rotten Tomatoes (here) is showing Tomatometer (76%) and Popcornmeter (76%)

Box Office Mojo (here) doesn’t say when they last updated these numbers but I’ve not seen them change since Dec 31st.

Updating with the BFI numbers (below):

  • US – $1,035,184
  • UK – $1,730,184
  • Rus – $114,103

Total theatre box office: $2,879,912

It’s dropped out of the Film Distributor’s Association chart for UK / Ireland Top 15 (here).

BFI website finally updated on 7th Jan – here. For the weekend of 2-4 January 2026 it shows another £37,178 take (converted to dollars and added into the above total).

The Numbers.com (here) have some lists that might be interesting to anyone that is a movie fan.

On the Summary tab (under the section “Latest ranking on cumulative box office lists”) there are a number of links.

Remember these lists are for “all time”, so I can’t tell how many 10’s of 1000’s of films are listed.

I won’t link to the individual lists as the URLs are based on ranking position (so will change over time). But, for a month-old independent movie, I think these positions are healthy:

  • All time worldwide box office for comedy movies – #2,592
  • All time international box office for comedy movies – #1,958
  • All time domestic box office for comedy movies – #1,781

With that 3rd one “domestic” actually means US.
