Des O’Connor Tonight ran from 1977 to 2003 and was an entertainment / variety show. Although Eric Morecambe might have something to say about it being entertaining! (one for the Morecambe and Wise fans).
The show on August 25th 2003 was described as a showcase for comedy and featured:
- Ronnie Corbett
- Jimmy Carr
- Jon Culshaw
- Jim Tavaré
- Vicki Pepperdine
- Men In Coats
It was shown on ITV (S27 Ep1) under the name Des O’Connor Comedy Tonight and the Irish Examiner identified it as a Bank Holiday Monday special. Jimmy’s Credits list on his management company’s website also lists it.
The only visual I’ve been able to find is the one below, from the Shropshire Star.
Des passed away in 2020, aged 88 years.
