In 2003 Jimmy was on his Charm Offensive tour, while appearing on TV (Your Face or Mine version 1), winning awards (here) and slogging up and down the UK (see 2003 posts listing, here).

For the second year Brighton had a comedy festival and, sponsored by Paramount Comedy Channel, it was officially the Paramount Brighton Comedy Festival. Held in October 2003 it ran from the 10th to 25th.

Jimmy’s gigs were on October 17th at Brighton Dome (although a couple of newspaper articles said they were at the Corn Exchange). Even back then doing 2 (or more) gigs a night wasn’t daunting for our “hardest working man in comedy” and his shows were at 7.30pm and 11.15pm.

Tickets were £13 or £11 for the concessionary rate.

The variance in ticket prices is sometimes dictated by the venue size – but may also indicate what people were willing to pay to see that person (back in 2003). I’ve included the normal ticket price, not the concessionary, just out of interest.
