In 2005 The Vagina Monologues had its opening night (at Wyndham’s Theatre, in the West End of London) on April 5^th (see here).

The run of 5^th to the 9^th starred Rula Lenska, after Sharon and Aimee Osbourne had to pull out with only 24 hours’ notice (Aimee had had a breast cancer scare).

The newspaper The Stage reported that one of the opening night attendees was one Jimmy Carr. When asked what he thought, of the Vagina Monologues, he came back with “Don’t worry, love, it’s just a bit of trapped wind. Nothing to be embarrassed about”.
