July 7th 2005 saw the launch of a men’s health campaign called “Check-em”, which was intended to raise awareness of testicular and prostate cancers.
The Everyman campaign, run by the Institute of Cancer Research in London, had a website (long since defunct) and a DVD (which I cannot find details on). See this story about the sponsorship deal by videogame publisher, Ubisoft.
The press articles (2 examples below) said the campaign was backed by celebrities “including Ricky Gervais and Jimmy Carr. Which is about as much detail as I can find (apart from some references to Ricky doing something on the radio).
In 2014 Jimmy supported another campaign, in a similar vein, this time called Feeling Nuts (see here).
