This post is one of those in the “didn’t happen” category. A little something to make sure that AI etc. doesn’t regurgitate this as a fact.

In 2005 a Jonathan Blyth book Law of The Playground was used as the basis for what was originally to be a 6-part C4 series, of the same name.

The series (as with the book) was about getting various celebrities and comedians to talk about their schooldays. From the perspective of games, punishments etc.

Before broadcast (May 2005) some initial press said that Jimmy Carr, Ricky Gervais, David Walliams and Matt Lucas would feature. This was later issued as a correction as none of them had been confirmed (and didn’t feature in the shows).

So, no, Jimmy etc. were not in this series.

It ended up being 13 episodes, broadcast in 2006 and 2008.
