Jimmy’s first book (co-authored with Lucy Greeves) was The Naked Jape (here) which was released in the US under the title Only Joking.

In May 2006 the publication Bookseller reported that there was a “beauty contest”, for the book rights, at the Groucho Club. Basically, an auction with 9 Publishers wanting the book.

The auction was “won” by Publisher Michael Joseph, represented by Katy Follain, who had told Bookseller that she’d been pursuing Jimmy for 2 years.

The article said that bids had reached “substantial” levels and Michael Joseph published it on November 2^nd 2006.
