The Rose d’Or awards started in 1961 and are described as defining “the gold standard for excellence and achievement in International TV and Audio programme making” and their website is here.
The ceremony used to be held in Montreux and some may remember it as being called the Golden Rose of Montreux.
In the 2004 awards announcement Jimmy was nominated for Best Presenter for his show Distraction (UK).
It’s difficult to find details of nominations for this award as the official website only starts from 2020. It’s mentioned on the website of Jimmy’s management agency (here) and a few very old articles (like this BBC one). Otherwise, nada.
For other nominations (from the Rose d’Or) see here.
