Jim Jefferies likes Fackham Hall

Jim Jefferies (Australian comedian, for those that may not know) lived and toured in the UK for many years and now lived in America.

He’s known Jimmy since at least 2003, when they were both touring British comedy festivals (see Birmingham on here). Since then they’ve toured Canada together (Charm Offensive – here), Jim’s been on 8oo10c (here), gone to see Oasis (here) and more of where their paths have crossed (professionally) can be seen here.

In 2022 Jimmy was getting a lot of heat for a joke that was in Netflix special, His Dark Material (details here) and Jim J said in this interview:

I’m looking at all the comedians who they are trying to cancel at the moment, and my friend Jimmy Carr is in hot water at the moment because he said a joke on his special. I can only tell you this: Jimmy Carr is one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever met in my life. I won’t say a bad word about the guy.

When Jimmy Carr dies there won’t be many people who say a bad word about the guy. He supports young comics. If you are having a bit of trouble, he’s always the first to reach out to you and make sure you’re okay. If famous comics visit Britain from overseas, he always takes him out to lunch and takes him to the best clubs and stuff like that. So, they feel welcome.

This week Jim is being a total mensch (again) by saying on his podcast (with Amos Gill) how much he liked Fackham Hall (watched it on HBO Max).

If the below doesn’t launch in the right place – it’s at the 57 minutes point. Otherwise, if you watch from the beginning, you may not know why they are ranting about Franz Ferdinand…
