That is a Jimmy-ism from the video below – giving advice to a 16-year-old aspiring comedian from New Zealand (Charlie), inviting him up on stage.

I’d already posted a compilation (here) that had this clip buried within it. That quote later got picked up by a Leadership Coach who has painted it on a wall (see LinkedIn picture, here).

Anyway, I thought it was worth another post as this clip has struck a chord with so many people (see in the comments on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok). He’s getting a lot of love for this one.
