April 24^th 2005 the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, was host to a swarm of footballers. There for the PFA Player of the Year Awards.

According to the Irish Independent (here) Jimmy

“…was bravely informing Neil Ruddock that he resembled a girl with a moustache”

There is scant information about anything other than the winners…but it’s a fair assumption that Jimmy (someone who notoriously has little interest in football) would only be there to work.

It’s likely that he did a stand-up set (especially when you consider the audience). He may have done some intros, but exactly how much he was involved is hard to tell.

In 2005 he wasn’t QUITE a big enough star to warrant his own column inches. Especially when the PFA’s get most attention from the Sports pages.
