The Brixton Comedy Club (name of the event organisers) had Jimmy on the bill for this 14 Jan 2001 gig at The Hobgoblin. Stephen K Amos  was headlining the show that was MC’d by Ivor Dembina:

• Stephen K Amos
• Rainer Hersch
• Jimmy Carr
• Natalie Haynes

This is the only date that I can find Jimmy performing, at this venue. No details of start time or ticket price.

Located at 95 Effra Road, Brixton, SW2 1DF the Hobgoblin used to be called the George Canning. In 2007 it was bought out and was renamed Hootananny.

This Brixton post features an image a photo of the pub’s exterior, while it was still called the Hobgoblin.

Background

At this stage of his career Jimmy had been performing above pubs and “going on stage after strippers” (his words) so there was no tour name.

He was now starting to get more regular bookings and was appearing more in dedicated comedy clubs and slightly bigger rooms.
