The British Comedy Awards began in 1990 (see here) and for many years was hosted by Jonathan Ross (1991-2014, except 2008). There is a photo gallery on the official website which ends in 2014 (here) when it was renamed to the National Comedy Awards (here).

The 2004 event (held at the LTV Studios) was broadcast on ITV1 on December 22^nd 2004 and was 155 minutes long. Full list of winners here.

Jimmy attended with Karoline and he presented an award alongside Ronni Ancona (presumably to Catherine Tate as they were both later pictured with her and her award).
