2010 saw Jimmy attend the Just For Laughs (JFL) festival in Montreal, Canada for a 6th time (see here).
This year’s gala ran from July 2-25 but had a secondary location in Toronto from 6-11, meaning many of the comedians were pinging back and forth.
Back before people were signed to streamers (or using YouTube channels of their own) Juste pour rire TV would show some of the festival. Broadcast in Canada it’s now pretty much worldwide (with output on their YouTube channel) but I don’t know how far its reach was, in 2010.
The festival ended, on a number of occasions, with a televised All-Star Show, usually recorded on the last night at a gala. The 45-minute 2010 compilation of the show was broadcast on November 22nd 2010 and featured:
- Jimmy Carr
- Jeff Ross
- John Pinette
- Harland Williams
- Anthony Clark
Three of the comedians were listed with writer credits – Jimmy Carr, Anthony Clark and John Pinette.
Jeff Ross (see here) has worked with Jimmy for many years on Roasts, sometimes with the two of them acting as a support act on Dave Chappelle gigs (here).
The video below is not from this show but it is material from a gig at JFL 2010 so is likely to be either the same or a similar routine.
