In May 2002 Jimmy had been at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival and I pinpointed this as been the first time he had met Sean Lock (here).
They met again, in August 2002, at the Edinburgh Fringe (here).
Across 2 evenings (16th and 17th) there was a fundraising event (Stonewall Scotland Gala) at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre. The Fringe programme (here) only mentions who had appeared previously and several sites (such as Chortle) had not listed Jimmy’s name.
The information that I think is most accurate was an advert that ran in the Edinburgh News on August 17th. I suspect it was an ad that had been bought for a couple of print runs as it featured details for both gigs, despite 1 having already happened.
But as it was an ad on the 17th about a show on the 17th – I think it most likely to be accurate. And Jimmy had been added to the listing.
