Documenting some more award long-listing information, before it all disappears from online sources. This time for the UK NTAs (National Television Awards) for 2019 through to 2024.

With these awards “long listing” means each category has a list of 20-50 people / shows that are available for the public to vote on. This is followed by a short-listed vote and then a televised ceremony – see the NTA website here.

Being long listed is not as good as a short list entry (or a win) but it’s an indicator that the UK TV industry are repeatedly acknowledging Jimmy’s presentation skills and the popularity of the shows that he hosts.

Then the process goes a bit off piste as the decline of linear TV and (most of) the general public’s disinclination to submit a vote must mean that these awards are being watered down (from a voting numbers perspective), with every passing year.

Still interesting to look back at what was being watched, over the years, and how many times Ant and Dec have won.
