September 6^th 2004 was the TV Quick Soap Awards at the Dorchester Hotel, London.

Jimmy was photographed on the red carpet and in the press room, sometimes posing with an award in his hand (although that was only for promotional purposes – he wasn’t in anything that would make him eligible for an award).

I can’t find any details of whether he was a presenter or not – but there are plenty of pictures. As this was early in his TV career I suspect it was just a “get noticed” type appearance.

I have no idea who the soap stars are (reliant on the image captions) and you can tell it’s 2004 as it says Jimmy Carr “and guest”.
