The 8 Out of 10 Cats series list (here) has details of when the Captains changed over (plus links out to series information).

S18 in 2014 was the last full series recorded with Sean and Jon (who then moved on to just do 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown) and then there were 2 specials that were shown a full year later (recording date unknown).

This episode is the Christmas special, shown on December 24^th 2015 on C4.

This was the show made famous by the game of Carrot in a Box (in the compilation below at 1 minute 15).

Note that, when Jon says “when do we do the conundrum”, he is making a reference to the spin-off show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The Catsdown mash-up had started in 2012 (here) and there was an overlap when Jimmy, Sean and Jon worked on both shows until 8oo10c ended in December 2020 (with a final best of shown in Jan 2021).
