In Bath a comedy / music venue called The Porter (or Porter Cellar Bar) is another one that was finished off by COVID (closed March 2020).

Located at 15 Geroge Street, Bath, BA1 2QS there are pictures of this gorgeous building on Pubs Galore here (click on Pub Pictures (18)).

According to Western Daily Press (here) Jimmy appeared there in June 16^th 2000.

• Compere – Geoff Whiting
• Nicky Wilty
• Jimmy Carr

Looks like it had a thriving comedy scene as Daniel Kitson was there on May 4^th 2000 and Danny Bhoy on June 22^nd.

Background

At this stage of his career Jimmy had been performing above pubs and “going on stage after strippers” (his words) so there was no tour name.

He was now starting to get more regular bookings and was appearing more in dedicated comedy clubs and slightly bigger rooms.
