On Jokes hardback signed copies are now available in the UK (pre-order) from a number of independent booksellers / retailers. Not sure about what is happening elsewhere, but a couple of UK examples:
They all seem to be set at £25 (compared to the Amazon £19.99) but I assume that probably includes P&P. Couple of them have made a point that only Jimmy has signed them. I bet that was a riveting afternoon!
There’s still another month to the release date of the Hardback, Kindle and Audible versions. Slightly disappointed to see that all 3 authors are on the Audible version – but, from what I’ve seen, Jimmy is always a total mensch about sharing credit, so it was to be expected.

Amazon Charts
It’s been about 10 days since I last looked at the Amazon charts and an exercise like this makes you realise how “sloppy” our world is now (even on such a massive retailer’s network of websites).
When new books are released the paperback version is usually not out until quite some time after the hardback (hard cover, if you like).
For example, with Before and Laughter (here) the hardback was out on September 30th 2021 and paperback May 12th 2022.
Despite this a LOT of Amazon sites had the paperback listed, last time that I looked. Many have now removed the option but it’s still there (with no indication of the applicable later delivery date) on Amazon Australia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and UAE.
And, while many have added the Audible version, it’s not yet there on Amazon Italy, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain or UAE.
Singapore is a really strange one as it started out with both hardback and paperback versions and, yet, on September 9th, the paperback version was removed (which is fine) but the hardback says “currently unavailable and we don’t know when it will be in stock”. It’s bizarre as, the week before, the hardback had been listed as #1 on pre-orders, in the Comedy category.
Turkey still doesn’t have the book listed at all.
There’s still a month to go, before release, but pre-orders still look good, across the world.
The categories it lists under are still changing week on week (although some still list it under “juggling” or “children’s jokes”) so it’s making much sense of what’s going on is tricky to be consistent about.
As a generalisation, this week, hardback pre-orders are top 20 in Norway, UAE and US. Top 10 in Japan, and Spain.
The Kindle version is top 20 in Norway and US and top 10 in France, Germany and Japan.
The UK site showed it had dropped in the Books / hardback category to 11,314. That one is a tricky one to analyse as it’s such a huge bucket. The highest I’ve seen it there is 2,419 in late Aug.
It also doesn’t help (if you’ve not read prior posts) that some countries don’t have their own Amazon website and so they ship from a larger base. This means the US, UK, Germany, Spain and Australia (and possibly others) are all covering more locations than you may think.
