In February 2018 Chortle (and various other outlets) announced that CPL Productions were working on a pilot show, for C4, with Jimmy as host.

There was a single recording session in March 2018 at Baylis Studio, Sadler’s Wells.

It was described on Comedy.co.uk with the working title of The Jimmy Carr Chat Show – which was fairly vague as the premise of the show was that “the studio audience would ask the questions” (of a celebrity guest).

It never made it into production and is just an example of how all kinds of ideas are trialled and ditched (or the host decides against doing it or is too busy).
