In February 2018 Chortle (and various other outlets) announced that CPL Productions were working on a pilot show, for C4, with Jimmy as host. It was described on Comedy.co.uk with the working title of The Jimmy Carr Chat Show – which was fairly vague as the premise of the show was that “the studio audience would ask the questions” (of a celebrity guest).

Clearly it never made it into production. It is just an example of how all kinds of ideas are trialled and ditched (or the host decides against doing it or is too busy).
