Canada’s Just For Laughs 2017 (JFL) was in Montreal for the 35th year and was from July 12th to 31st. Jimmy was on his Best of Ultimate Gold Greatest Hits tour and came for his 13th JFL Festival. He Had been in Kendal on Saturday July 15th and so that eliminates any JFL events that took place within the first couple of days.
The InterroBang has “11 shows you absolutely can’t miss” that also lists a lot of other comics and what they are up to. As does this Montreall article.
I’ll have to type Jimmy’s name in full – just to make him and Jim Carrey stand out from each other.
Nasty Show, 19-28th
The Nasty Show was at Le Métropolis for 10 performances between the 19th and 28th.

There is a video from 94 Hits FM that has a small part of The Nasty Show from 5.15. Jimmy appears for about 2 seconds and, although it says filmed on the 29th, I think they mean 19th as I have a screen shot from the JFL Instagram feed saying that Jimmy was kicking off the Nasty Show on the 19th.
He also def appeared there on the 20th (per BadFeeling) and 24th so he could have been there every night.
He used a clipboard on stage as he’d written all new jokes, centred around Montreal. Interrobang review here.
Bumping Mics, 26-28th
Not sure which night Jimmy appeared (or whether it was more than once) but he joined Jeff Ross and Dave Attell for Bumping Mics at L’Astral.
ComedyPRO, 26-29th
ComedyPRO is described as the “most important global gathering, in comedy, of the biggest players in the business”. Usually across 3 days, during JFL, you can read more about it here.
Held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (where a lot of the comedian stay) I can’t pin down what day(s) Jimmy attended – but this story and video is from the ComedyPro red carpet (ignore the publication date).
Hope & Cope, 27th
On the afternoon of the 27th Jimmy paid his 3rd visit to the Hope & Cope Cancer Wellness Centre. See here.
Awards show, 28th
The JFL awards show this year was the 10th and Alonzo Bodden hosted, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. These Getty Images photos don’t mention what event they are from but, judging by the clothing of everyone that is posing (awards clutched in hands) in the video below – they were from the Awards show. The backdrop is advertising ComedyPRO, which straddled this date, but I doubt they were from that as they would be more like to pose at the end, on the 29th.

- Stand-Up Comedian of the Year – Mike Birbiglia (presented by Jimmy Carr)
- Breakout Comedy Star of the Year – Ali Wong
Seann Walsh managed to sneak into these awards and was star struck by his hero, Jim Carrey. There’s a story in The Guardian about how David Baddiel tried (but failed) to get him close to the man but that Jimmy Carr then did a “they’re with me” and took Seann and David through a guarded doorway to meet the “other JC”.

Montreal: An Intervention Gala, 31st
The full name of this gala was Montreal: An Intervention Gala – Because We Love You
This final gala was in honour of Montreal’s 375th birthday and starred:

It was held at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier of Place des Arts and televised by CBC on December 26th 2017.
The Montreal Gazette said that Jimmy got some of the biggest laughs by poking fun at Montreal (remember this is his 13th JFL and Karoline is Canadian, so he knows Canada VERY well):
- People from Toronto are Torontonians. People from Vancouver are Vancouverites. People from Montreal are racists.
- Building foundations in Montreal are half concrete, half people who didn’t pay up.
Midnight Surprise
I cannot even find when or where this show was held in 2017. There is an undated Reddit thread here that indicates that, on some unidentifiable night, Jimmy appeared:
